Livin' La Vida Loca

Just realized that I have not posted since October 8. Wow that is a while ago. That is because.... I'm living the vida loca! Get the reference? Haha! It has been a crazy few months. Let's see, what have we done this Fall? End of September we saw the cows come home. We went to a wine festival that had carnival rides so the kids stayed occupado while the parents drank. We went to the Alsace Lorraine region of France for a weekend where some of my ancestors came from. Cool. I now know why we are a bit crazy. The decor in ALL of the restaurants were saws. Yes, saws for cutting things. Hacksaws, giant two people tree cutters, regular saws. It was a bit spooky. We went to Innsbruck, Austria, which we loved. Muenster cheese for Ian! What was funny? The store keepers looked at Ricardo and asked if he was Italian, but to me they just started speaking German. Umm, what'd you say? Good thing I took German in High School right? Totally could understand EVERYTHING!

Halloween night we actually got Tricker-treaters. Oops! Had no idea the expats would do that. Broke out the faux pas and gave out just made cookies. And the rest of my chocolate stash from the closet. I will be prepared next year! Promise! Then we went to a Cuban concert in the middle of this tiny town. We were rocking in our seats. No one else was. That all happened before November!

November hits! Then we had to prepare for two Thanksgivings and assessments in school. I volunteered a bit and helped a few friends. Then we prepped for family coming for Christmas. Ricardo's family has invaded for Christmas. The inlaws arrived the beginning of December and took a week to visit other friends. Star Wars 7 came out, so that was a day event. We got to see it in 3D! Love the ships coming at you. Brothers and Sis in law and families arrived this week, and we have been taking them around Switzerland and the famous Christmas markets.

Now it is my birthday. My present? Staring at Ricky Martin's face as I type. There has been a lot of typos that I have had to fix. I don't care if he bats for the other team. He is dreamy! That and looking at my husband's bum while he is standing next to me reading as I type. He is dreamy too! I am having an awesome day with my family. I love them dearly, and I am very happy they could come all this way to share our first Christmas in Switzerland. We are just waiting to get the pork in the oven so we can have a proper Puerto Rican/Cuban Noche Buena.

Oh and we are also waiting to head to the pub to see Santa arrive with a donkey. Yep. A donkey in a pub. Start of a joke? I can probably think of one or two...

Take it away Ricky!.....
